Durral Brooks, a 6-foot-2 point guard in the class of 2024, announced Monday he received a scholarship offer from the Dayton Flyers.

Brooks sat behind the Dayton bench on Nov. 13 during a game against Southern Methodist at UD Arena. He’s a junior at Catholic Central High School in Grand Rapids, Mich. He scored 43 and 30 points in recent games.

Brooks, whose nickname is “Phat Phat,” received an offer from Butler in October. Michigan offered him a scholarship in May, and he received an offer from Michigan State last March.

Brooks ranks 126th in the class of 2024, according to 247Sports.com, and 120th, according to Rivals.com.

This is the second offer Dayton has made to a 2024 recruit in recent weeks. Kyle Greene Jr., a 6-foot-2 point guard from Pace Academy in Atlanta, Ga., announced an offer on Jan. 16.

Dayton does not have a commitment from a member of the 2024 class. It has one player in its 2023 class: Jaiun Simon, a 6-foot-7 forward from Mableton, Ga., who committed in October and signed in November.
