Bryant Johnson had 19 points and 11 rebounds in leading unbeaten Butler to a 70-60 defeat of host Northmont in a boys high school basketball game on Tuesday night. The non-conference win pushed Butler to 5-0 overall.

Butler’s Michael Kreill added 16 points and Quintin Glover hit all five of his shots for 11 points. The Aviators overcame a two-point halftime deficit by owning the second half.
It was the first loss for Northmont (3-1) and new coach Shane Kincer, who succeeded Collin Abels after four seasons. Danny Lewis had a season-high 21 points for the Thunderbolts, who started three sophomores.

Both teams are back in Greater Western Ohio Conference play on Friday. Butler hosts Troy and Miamisburg visits Northmont.
