January 30, 2000

Super Bowl XXXIV – St. Louis Rams 23, Tennessee Titans 17

St. Louis linebacker Mike Jones tackled Tennessee wide receiver at the 1-yard line on the final play of the game to preserve the only Super Bowl championship in Rams history.

After falling behind 16-0 in the third quarter, the Titans rallied to tie the game on an Al Del Greco field goal with 2:12 remaining.

But one play later St. Louis quarterback Kurt Warner hit Isaac Bruce with a 73-yard touchdown for the winning score.

Kurt Warner threw for 414 yards and two touchdowns to earn the MVP award.

Misc.: For the first time since Super Bowl IV there was no week off after the conference championship games due to a 57-day player strike that forced the regular season to end in January.

Super Bowl XXVIII – Dallas Cowboys 30, Buffalo Bills 13

Misc.: This remains the only game in Super Bowl history that was a rematch from the year before.
