A brief look at severe weather history in the Miami Valley

A cold front crossed the area last evening bringing heavy rain and gusty winds.

This is the same system that myself and our team of Stormcenter7 meteorologist have been tracking for over a week. Last Friday, I was asked to look back in history to find out if there was ever a time when we saw a similar set-up. After a little digging I found an event from January 1988 that was close to what we were expecting. What was most intriguing was how close the two were in track and final impacts. In the video above, I talk about these two events and where most of the storms reports ended up.
