Clouds linger; rain to start the workweek

Clouds will linger and a few more showers are expected overnight, Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Brett Collar said. Some weather models hint at a couple of thunderstorms before daybreak Monday, but the threat for severe weather remains low. Lows overnight will be in the lower 60s.

DETAILED FORECAST

Monday: Rain is expected through parts of the day, with the best chances coming in the morning. There could be a few storms before daybreak. Eventual highs will be in the middle 70s under mostly cloudy skies. Rain will taper off through the afternoon and evening.

Tuesday: It will dry out with highs back in the upper 70s.

Wednesday: Temperatures climb back to near 80 degrees with more sunshine.

Thursday: A few more clouds return Thursday with the slight chance for rain. Highs will be in the lower 80s.

Friday: The chance for rain is on tap under mostly cloudy skies. Highs will be in the lower 80s.
