One the most highly anticipated rock shows this weekend is happening at Blind Bob's Friday night, featuring The Story Changes, Lovely, Old Game (Pittsburgh, PA), and Sidekick Complex. Going to be a great show! Don't miss it! $5 cover. 9pm. 18+
For the jam band fans in the area, Ohio's own Ekoostik Hookah is back at Oddbody's Music Room this evening. They are one of the longest running improvisational bands in the region. Their dance grooves will warm ya up! $15 day of show. 8pm Doors. 8:30pm Show. 18+
Folk fans, head over to see The Devil Doves at Trolley Stop. These guys are heading over from Columbus to bring us their original tunes, so please show them some love! $5 cover. 9:30pm - 1:30am. 21+
Another very fun and folky show is happening up north at Oscar's Bar, with a very fine line up including: Jesse Henry & the Benders, Jericho Thyme, and Scott Lee. $5 cover. 8pm show.
Down south, one of the funkiest shows of the entire weekend is happening at the Old Crow Bar in Middletown. Well worth the drive to see two of the area's most energetic and dynamic bandsd: The Almighty Get Down & Ernie Johnson from Detroit. Soooo good! Make sure you bring your dancin' shoes! $10 admission. 8pm - 1am.
Saturday February 4th
Bluegrass fans alert! Steep Canyon Rangers are at Victoria Theatre Saturday evening. This ultra talented group won Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album Grammy in 2013 (for Nobody Knows You), which drew celebrated comedian/banjoist Steve Martin to them when he needed a backing band. See what all the hype is about! 8pm showtime. Tickets $30-$40.
Super excited for the Salvadore Ross CD Release Party with Me & Mountains at Oregon Express this evening! Salvador Ross has really impressed me every time I see them live. Highly recommend! $5 cover. 21+
Another fun show in the Oregon District is Angela Perley & The Howlin' Moons at Trolley Stop. They are always a crowd pleaser with their rock with country vibe. $5 cover. 9:30pm - 1am. 21+
