If you're looking for a value bet for the upcoming MLB season, you could do worse than put a few bucks down on Joey Votto to be the National League's Most Valuable Player.

Bovada has set the Cincinnati Reds first baseman's odds at 33/1.

He is joined at that number by Yoenis Cespedes, Clayton Kershaw, Andrew McCutchen, Buster Posey, Max Sherzer, Kyle Schwarber and Giancarlo Stanton.

Eight players are ahead of that group, including Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant, the reigning winner and current favorite. His odds to repeat are 11/4.

Votto is coming off a strong season in which he posted a .985 OPS and finished seventh in MVP balloting.

Former Red Johnny Cueto, now in his second season with the Giants, is one of four players with 16/1 odds to win the NL Cy Young Award. Kershaw is the favorite there at 8/5.
