Motorist shot before crashing car in Trotwood

A man who suffered a gunshot Sunday afternoon was involved in a car crash immediately following the shooting.

Trotwood police were called around 4:50 p.m. to the area of Hoover Avenue near state Route 49, according to Trotwood police.

The victim, who was shot in the leg and suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, was not injured in the crash.

The suspect is not known and the shooting remains under investigation, police said.
