Police: Security guard shot outside Dayton bar

Police are investigating after a security guard from Sugar’s Lounge walked into the emergency room Thursday night with a gunshot wound.

The victim arrived around 10:10 p.m. at Kettering Health Dayton with injuries that were described as not life-threatening, according to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center records. He was driven to the hospital by a private vehicle.

A 911 caller said that the security guard was shot outside the bar at 1919 N. Main St., where Dayton police found bullet casings,

The caller also described two men who may have been involved in the shooting that remains under investigation.
