First of all, mom shaming isn’t cool to begin with, but when you are also attacking a person for their appearance as well as their mothering, there are some serious issues to be addressed. These artists do not need to share their life with fans. I feel they do it as a courtesy and as a way to allow us to feel connected to them and what goes on in their lives. Carrie Underwood is one of the celebrities that posts about her social life every now and then to keep fans in the loop with what is going. She may have regretted being that open after a few of her Instagram followers mom shamed her on one of her recent posts (see post below).

We can assume she was out at one of her sons soccer games because she captioned the photo with "It's chilly out but I'm staying warm rocking some @caliabycarrie ...the kids played a good game! Isaiah scored two goals for his team...and one for the other team. Hey, a goal's a goal!” Then comments started flowing in like "Well that is a crap ton of makeup for a soccer game," and "Show up like most soccer moms, messy hair don't care, no makeup and a coffee mug in hand.” Some even started attacking her physical appearance like her brows were too dark, her scar was visible, her makeup was getting on the collar of her vest, and one person even decided to say "I love Carrie. But it looks like she's starting the injections and face changing tweaks way too soon. She's looking a little plastic these days."
