As the world mourns the loss of music, fashion, and culture icon David Bowie, we look back on his many tour stops through Ohio over nearly four decades.
Known for timeless songs including "Ziggy Stardust," "Changes" and "Space Oddity," as well as performances in movies like "Labyrinth" and his influence on fashion and culture, Bowie passed away Jan. 10 after battling cancer for 18 months, two days after the release of his final record Black Star on his 69th birthday.
Bowie visited Ohio on practically every one of his American tours and even made it to the Miami Valley, performing at Hara Arena in Trotwood on his "Diamond Dogs" tour in 1974.
