‘Lady Dynamite’ Maria Bamford coming to Dayton

Comedian Maria Bamford, who is starred in the Netflix series “Lady Dynamite,”  is scheduled to be in Dayton June 7, 2019 for a show at the Victoria Theatre.

One of the most unique comedians around is coming to Dayton and bringing her voice with her.

Maria Bamford the star of the critically-acclaimed Netflix series "Lady Dynamite" will perform 8 p.m. Friday, June 7 at the Victoria Theatre, 138 N Main St. in downtown Dayton.

Bamford was the first female comedian to have two half-hour Comedy Central Presents specials.

She starred with Patton OswaltZach Galifianakis and Brian Posehn in the Comedy Central series "The Comedians of Comedy" and Netflix's "Comedians of Comedy: The Movie."

She has voiced characters for “BoJack Horseman,” “Adventure Time,” “Legend of Korra,” “Puss in Boots” Fox’s “Golan the Insatiable,” “Talking Tom & Friends” and PBS’s Emmy-winning series “Word Girl.”

Lady Dynamite had two seasons on Netflix after launching Nov. 10, 2017.

Bamford, the star of "Maria Bamford: the special special special" and the web series "The Maria Bamford Show," played DeBrie Bardeaux on Netflix's reboot of the cult hit "Arrested Development."

Maria Bamford is best known for her comedy (featured in the documentary "The Comedians of Comedy"), but she was also that crazy running Christmas shopper in those Target ads from a couple of years back.
