Around 9:10 p.m. Thursday a 2023 Toyota SUV struck Scarberry at the intersection of U.S. 127 and Ohio 725 in Camden, said Camden Chief of Police Matt Spurlock.
The SUV had a green light and Scarberry was in the crosswalk when she was hit, according to police.
Investigators were reviewing video from area businesses. They’re expected to receive information from the SUV’s black box, or event data recorder, this week.
Camden police and the Preble County Sheriff’s Office are continuing to investigate the crash.
