A 30-year-old man wanted by U.S. Marshals and parole authorities also faces charges in the August shooting of his ex-girlfriend in Dayton.

Dawone A. Hodge, 30, is charged with two counts of felonious assault and one count of grand theft of a motor vehicle, according to Dayton Municipal Court records.

Hodge’s ex-girlfriend told police she was at his South Williams Street residence Aug. 27 when he got angry with her, according to an affidavit.

“She said he produced a silver handgun and shot her in the leg and foot,” the affidavit stated.

Hodge then reportedly took the woman’s SUV and fled before police responded.

Hodge was on parole at the time of the shooting after serving a two-year prison term in the Mansfield Correctional Institution for drug-related offenses following a conviction in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court. He was released from prison in January, according to Ohio Department of Rehabilitation & Correction records.

Anyone with information on Hodge’s whereabouts is urged to contact Miami Valley Crime Stoppers at www.miamivalleycrimestoppers.com or 937-222-STOP (7867).
