Serious injuries suspected in late-night pedestrian strike in Dayton

A woman crossing the street suffered suspected serious injuries after she was hit by an SUV in Dayton late Thursday night.

Emergency crews were called to the intersection of North Edwin C. Moses Boulevard and West Riverview Avenue around at 11:41 p.m. on a report of a female victim hit by a vehicle, according to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center records.

A 2007 Dodge Caliber was going east on North Edwin C. Moses Boulevard and went to turn left onto West Riverview Avenue, according to a crash report filed by Dayton police.

The SUV hit a woman who was crossing the street in a cross walk.

Medics took her to Miami Valley Hospital.
