Driver transported for smoke inhalation after semi truck fire on I-70

The driver of a semi truck that caught fire on Interstate 70 East in Clark County on Tuesday morning was transported to the hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.

The fire temporarily closed all the eastbound lanes of I-70 near Interstate 675. Lanes fully reopened more than three hours after the incident, which was reported about 8 a.m.

The front of the semi truck was fully engulfed in flames, and mutual aid was requested to help battle the fire.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
