Bond set for accused Miamisburg bank robber

Woman turns herself in Tuesday night; Man nabbed after standoff in Butler Twp.

UPDATE @ 11:10 a.m. May 1:

A judge set bond at $150,000 today for Jozie R. Barcy, who turned herself in to face charges in the U.S. Bank robbery.

Court records say she placed a money bag and a note on the counter, and threatened to shoot the clerk.

Barcy reported admitted to telling the clerk she had 10 seconds to fill the bag and not include a dye pack or GPS device, according to the court documents.

UPDATE @ 7:55 p.m. (April 30): A 21-year-old woman who allegedly confessed she was the bank robber who held up the U.S. Bank on East Central Avenue is scheduled to be arraigned Friday in Miamisburg Municipal Court.

Jozie R. Barcy turned herself in to Miamisburg police Tuesday night, hours after the 3 p.m. heist. She remains in the Montgomery County Jail.

Her alleged getaway driver, Myron Mullins, also is in jail after he surrenered Wednesday night to police following a hostage standoff at a Butler Twp. hotel. He is jailed on suspicion of kidnapping and a parole violation but has not been charged in the bank robbery, online jail records show.

UPDATE @9:05 p.m. (April 29): Miamisburg police confirm that Myron Mullins, the person of interest they identified in Tuesday afternoon's robbery of the U.S. Bank branch on East Central Avenue, is the man involved in the nearly three-hour hostage standoff at the Days Inn on Miller Lane in Butler Twp.

Police from Butler Twp. and Montgomery County descended on the hotel hours after Jozie Barcy turned herself in at Miamisburg police headquarters following the bank robbery.

Mullins was taken into custody without a shot being fired.

UPDATE @ 10:45 a.m. (April 29): A woman taken into custody Tuesday night is being detained in the Montgomery County Jail on suspicion of the bank robbery.

Jozie R. Barcy, 21, turned herself in to Miamisburg police about 7:30 p.m.

Police said she admitted to her role in the heist and police are now looking for the the man believed to have been the driver, 42-year-old Myron Mullins. He is considered a person of interest in the case.

UPDATE @ 4:40 p.m.: Police released surveillance photos from the U.S. Bank robbery showing a woman wearing a black baseball-style cap, a black hooded sweatshirt and large black sunglasses. She appeared to have dark hair.

U.S. Bank is offering a reward of up to a $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any individuals responsible for committing any bank robberies at any U.S. Bank branch.

FIRST REPORT (April 28):

The U.S. Bank in Miamisburg was just reportedly robbed by a woman who fled in a gray Grand Am.

About 3 p.m., the woman wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt and sunglasses implied she had a weapon, though she didn’t show one. She left and went southbound.

Miamisburg police and Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies are looking for the woman and a possible accomplice.
