Brookville business evacuated after threat

Police have cleared the scene where a business was evacuated in Brookville this morning because someone called in a threat.

Employees were evacuated from McGregor Surmount, an electronics manufacturing company at 365 Carr Drive, according to the Englewood emergency dispatch center.

Brookville Police Major Tom Simon said someone called in a threat around 9 a.m. and a Brookville school bus was utilized to evacuate the building.

A bomb-sniffing dog from the Dayton International Airport was called to the scene. The building was searched and nothing was found, Simon said.

Those evacuated were transported off the property to a nearby VFW building, Post 3288, then to another location before being allowed to return to work.

The incident remains under investigation.
