The thefts all had one thing in common: none of the vehicles was locked.
By 9 p.m., Clayton police said it’s time for residents to make sure they’ve:
- Brought valuables inside
- Locked vehicles
- Checked mail
- Closed the garage
- Locked your home
- Turned on outside lights
