Dash cam released from Dayton PD K-9 cruiser crash

UPDATE @ 3:54 p.m. (June 29):

Dash cam video showing a collision between a Dayton police K-9 vehicle and another car was released Friday.

Following the crash bystanders can be heard running to check on the officer involved in the crash and the other vehicle.

INITIAL REPORT (June 15):

A Dayton police K-9 cruiser was involved in a crash Friday night in downtown Dayton.

The two-vehicle crash was reported around 7:20 p.m. at South Ludlow and West Fifth streets, according to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center.

An officer on scene said everyone in the crash, including the dog, were OK.

Dispatch said at least one person was taken to Miami Valley Hospital, possibly as a precaution.
