FIRST REPORT
Deputies investigating a domestic violence incident tonight have surrounded a home in Phillipsburg.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded shortly before 7 p.m. to a home in the area of North and Walnut streets to a report that a woman had been assaulted by a man, and that there was a child or children in the home.

The woman left the home to call for help, according to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center.
The children were placed in the back of a cruiser, and it was not clear whether the man was still at the residence.
