Fourth person charged in Troy abduction, rape case

A Troy man has been indicted for felony abduction in a June 2014 case in which police said a developmentally disabled woman was held against her will and raped. Two Piqua men earlier were sentenced to prison terms in the incident. The woman in her 30s said she was tied to a bed, handcuffed and raped.

A Miami County grand jury earlier his month indicted Daniel W. Barga, 56, on one abduction count. He pleaded not guilty Thursday, Jan. 28, in county Common Pleas Court and was released on his own recognizance.

Harry Reedy, 59, of Piqua was sentenced to eight years in prison for rape and gross sexual imposition. Patrick Anthony, 57, of Piqua was sentenced to six years for kidnapping and complicity to rape.

Trishica Leighly, 38, of Piqua was not indicted in he 2014 incident but later was convicted of intimidation of a witness and sentenced to a year in prison.
