Officers detained Donte Davis and Dominque Davis, who were trying to leave the alley when police arrived. Police also found a gun that witnesses said Dominque Davis had displayed, then threw in the bushes as officers arrived.
Albert Givens told police he was walking to the store when he exchanged words with Donte and Dominque Davis about the trial of Anthony Blake. Givens, who testified during Blake’s murder trial in Butler County Common Pleas Court, said he was called a snitch and the men made intimidating remarks, according to the police report.
At one point Givens’ mother, Marilyn Sinclair, arrived and shielded her son from the gun, stating “they were not going to do this,” police said.
Donte Davis, 24, and Dominique Davis, 21, are both charged with retaliation, a third-degree felony. Dominque Davis also is charged with carrying a concealed weapon and having weapons under disability. A third man was charged with disorderly conduct.
Lt. Scott Reeve said Donte Davis, Dominque Davis and Blake are all believed to be members of the Baltimore Street Gang.
Blake is serving 23 years to life in prison for the execution-style shooting of Terron Moton of Cincinnati during a party at the Edwards Brothers Hall in Middletown.
