“Great idea for next years nerf war! Instead of arguing over rules, lets just use real guns! haha joking I’ll have shot up the school by then,” the boy said in the post according to police.
Last Friday, police went to the school on Drake Road in response to a call from staff who “advised they had received numerous calls from concerned parents and students,” Lt. Dave Gehringer said in an email Tuesday.
The boy told police “he was just joking around” and no weapons were found, Gehringer added.
The boy has reportedly been suspended from school. He was charged Monday in Warren County Juvenile Court with inducing panic.
