When officers arrived, they found the front door glass broken out and the rear door was open, and a man tried to climb out an upstairs window. Officers yelled for the man to get back in the house, where they were able to arrest him, according to a Dayton police report.

The suspect gave Dayton police a false name, but the photos did not match and the other man was 4 inches taller. Officers took him to the Montgomery County Jail, where he was identified as 36-year-old Gregory J. Bowling, the report stated.

Bowling told jail staff he gave a false name after he heard the U.S. Marshals were looking for him, because “he might be wanted for a murder.”
Police could find no murder charges on file against Bowling, but he did have two arrest warrants for parole violation, the report stated.

Bowling also faces criminal trespassing, obstruction of business and falsification, all misdemeanor charges, from the Dayton Police Department.
