Pizza man delivers help to diabetic customer

DAYTON (Nov. 11): A 55-year-old Dayton woman ordered a breakfast pizza from Domino’s. But not only did she get a delicious pie, she got a lifeline.

The woman, a diabetic who has heart problems, said she was suffering from low-blood sugar when the pizza delivery man arrived and handed over her order.

The woman said she was acting funny, and the delivery driver returned to Domino’s and called police to check on her. Police made sure she was OK and she recovered after eating the food.

“People don’t get involved anymore, they just turn the other way,” she said. “If I passed out, because I live alone, nobody would have found me.”

The woman visited the pizza shop the next day to give the driver a thank-you note and nice tip.
