Police found an SUV used in a deadly hit-and-run crash last week that killed a 60-year-old man walking his dog along Old Troy Pike in Riverside.

The driver involved in the crash has not been identified.

Terry Parsons, 60, of Riverside, was struck and killed last Friday night at Old Troy Pike and Ingleside Avenue. His body wasn’t discovered until the next morning, May 2, by a passing motorist, Riverside police detective Adam Todd said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, Montgomery County Coroner Dr. Kent Harshbarger said.

Parsons’ dog also was struck and killed in the crash.

Police said the vehicle involved was a 2008 or 2009 GMC Acadia.

The SUV was found on Payne Avenue in Harrison Twp. and has been impounded for evidence processing, Riverside police said.

Riverside police thanked the public on social media for information about the case.
