Police investigate weekend shooting at bar

HAMILTON — Police here are continuing its investigation of a shooting at a West Side bar just as it was closing early Sunday morning.

Officer Kristy Collins, police spokeswoman, said a man entered Tailgators, 1079 Millville Road, between 2 and 2:30 a.m. Sunday and fired a gun inside the bar but the bullet did not hit anyone.

The preliminary report indicated that the bar’s bouncers stopped the suspect before he could leave, Collins said. The bouncers allegedly assaulted the suspect who fired the gun, she said.

The suspect was not arrested Sunday morning and the incident remains under investigation, Collins said.
