“I shot him in the chest because he was getting aggressive with me,” the caller said. “He hit me in the face.”
Officers responded around 4:30 a.m. to the Yorktown Colony Apartments off Darby Road.
The woman said the gun used in the shooting was in the bedroom. She started CPR as medics responded, according to the call.
Police said they have a person of interest, but no arrests have been made.
The man and woman have a child together and there was a second child also at the house at the time of the shooting, said Maj. Matthew Sturgeon. Both children are OK and were asleep at the time of the shooting. They are with family members.
