‘Vague threat’ leads to lockdown at Beavercreek school

UPDATE @ 2:24 p.m.

The 25-minute lockdown started at 1:15 p.m. after someone found a “vague threat” scribbled on a bathroom wall at Ankeney Middle School, according to Beavercreek schools Spokesman Ryan Gilding.

Police were called to the school and searched the grounds but didn’t find anything and the school went back to normal operations at 1:40 p.m., Gilding said.

There were no suspects and the incident remains under investigation.

We’re working to confirm a tip we received that the Ankeney Middle School has been locked down.

Parents have contacted NewsCenter 7 to say that the school, at 4085 Shakertown Road, was locked down for an unknown reason.
