EARLIER REPORT (Feb. 23)

A Warren County teenager has been arrested on charges accusing him of selling LSD and designer drugs in Mason and Deerfield Twp.

The Warren County Drug Task Force, in a prepared statement released this evening, said 18-year-old Logan Fitzpatrick, of Mason, was arrested following a month-long investigation.

According to the task force, the investigation began in January after detectives received information indicating Fitzpatrick was trafficking in various drugs throughout the Mason and Deerfield Township areas of Warren County.

Undercover detectives purchased bulk amounts of LSD and a synthetic designer drug known as 25C-NBOMe — oftentimes referred to as “25C.”

Additionally, Fitzpatrick sold detectives a sample dose of Ecstasy (MDMA) and was also involved in trafficking marijuana.

The synthetic designer drug “25C” is commonly sold as LSD and typically obtained through online and other illicit sources.

The hazards associated with designer drug use are significant as these drugs are constantly changing, according to the task force.

As these drugs change, so do the potential consequences for users to include accidental overdoses and possibly death, according to the task force.

Whether the task force will ask the county prosecutor’s office to charge Fitzpatrick as an adult is not certain.
