Just before 2:30 p.m., an undercover officer reported that a woman later identified as Page nodded at him while she was at the corner of East Third and Jersey streets. The woman got inside the unmarked cruiser, and said she charges $20 and $40 for various sex acts, according to a Dayton police report.
The officer gave the woman $40, and then she was arrested. She told police she has prostituting herself for just over a month because of her heroin problem, the report stated.
Around 3:40 p.m., an undercover officer approached a woman in his unmarked vehicle who was in the 2900 block of East Third Street. According to the police report, the woman, identified as Snyder, got in the car and agreed to perform a sex act for $20.
She was arrested, and allegedly told police she made a deal to trade sex for money because she is addicted to heroin, according to the police report.
Neither Page nor Snyder had prior soliciting or other prostitution-related offenses in Dayton, according to the report.
Page and Snyder both pleaded not guilty to charges of soliciting and loitering during their Tuesday arraignments in Dayton Municipal Court. Snyder has a pretrial scheduled for Oct. 21; Page has a pretrial set for Oct. 29, online court records show.
