60-year-old man accused of sexual conduct with 13-year-old Lebanon boy

Charges also allege possession of child pornography.

A 60-year-old man is facing charges in Warren County alleging he twice engaged in sexual conduct with a 13-year-old boy and stored child pornography on his cellphone.

John T. Hopkins was in the county jail on Thursday on charges of illegal use of a minor in a nudity-oriented display and criminal child enticement. Bond was set at $20,000.

He was apparently released after a pretrial hearing Thursday in Lebanon Municipal Court, according to on-line jail records.

Hopkins was arrested about 7:30 p.m. on May 3 at Lebanon Junior High School, according to jail records.

Criminal complaints filed in Lebanon Municipal Court list a rental home in Lebanon as the “location of occurrence.”

His residence is listed as a home on Walnut Creek Court in West Chester Twp. in Butler County.

According to court complaints, three different photos of a “male child victim in a sexual situation” were found on his cellphone.

In addition, he is alleged to have ”enticed a male child victim (13 years of age) into his vehicle before engaging in sexual activity with this same male child victim on two separate occasions.”

The criminal acts are alleged to have occurred from March 29 to April 15.

On Thursday, Hopkins’ case was bound over for consideration by a Warren County grand jury.
