The Northmont City Schools Board of Education approved the purchase of 22 acres at Monday night’s meeting.

Board member Thomas Walker and Tom Kleptz negotiated a deal for the land that is east of the Kleptz Early Learning Center, according to a press release. It is located near where Wolf Creek runs next to the existing PK-1 building.

The land was purchased for $462,987, an amount the district said was 31 percent below the market price.

Right now, there are no immediate plans for the land, but it gives the district options to build in the future, district officials said.
