Residents will get another chance to vote on a road levy along with several charter amendments in November.

Riverside City Council voted to put an 8-mill levy for roads on the Nov. 5 ballot. The city would collect an additional $1.9 million, if the levy passes. It’s the same levy on the ballot in 2018 that voters rejected by eight votes.

The council also approved several amendments to the Riverside charter, including adding language for the process of removing a city council member. This is in response to an unsuccessful attempt to remove Councilman Steve Fullenkamp in 2016.

Fullenkamp and 11 other Riverside residents sued the city and council members, saying the charter was “vague” when it came to removing a council member.
