The council also approved several amendments to the Riverside charter, including adding language for the process of removing a city council member. This is in response to an unsuccessful attempt to remove Councilman Steve Fullenkamp in 2016.
Fullenkamp and 11 other Riverside residents sued the city and council members, saying the charter was “vague” when it came to removing a council member.
