Academic/technical college scholarships available to those who qualify

The Wright-Patterson Chiefs’ Group and the Forbeck Family Foundation have announced their annual academic/technical college scholarship program for the 2019/2020 school year. Seven scholarships, totaling $4,000, will be awarded to any active-duty, Reserve, Guard and retired enlisted members or unmarried dependents of active-duty, Reserve, Guard and retired chief master sergeant or senior master sergeant sponsors.

The applicant must be attached or assigned to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and enrolled in or selected to attend an accredited two- or four-year college or university.

The three categories are:

• Unmarried dependent of an E-9 (chief master sergeant or equivalent) active-duty, Reserve, Guard or retired;

• Unmarried dependent of an E-8 (senior master sergeant or equivalent and below) active-duty, Reserve, Guard or retired;

• Active-duty, Reserve or Guard enlisted member, all grades

A copy of the application package has been provided to guidance counselors at local high schools and colleges and to all unit first sergeants and chiefs. Completed applications must be received by July 25, 2019, and can be mailed to:
