After the man was spotted, police eventually found him hiding in a vehicle. In his possession were stolen credit cards and other property, police said.
The man, who was not named by police, was caught on home surveillance camera going through cars in the same area, and police issued a plea Wednesday on Twitter to help identify him.
Police said they are working on getting the recovered property back to the rightful owners.
