Two people were arrested on Monday after a man was struck by a vehicle in the 500 block of 6th Street, according to police.

James Moody, 31, and Christina Bush Simones, 39, are being held at the Montgomery County Jail.

Simones and Moody have not been formally charged at this time.

A witness reported a group of people were fighting on 6th Street when a driver appeared to intentionally run over the victim with the vehicle. The witness reported the driver backed over the victim before driving away.

Miamisburg police have arrested a suspect in a pedestrian strike that sent a man to the hospital Monday evening.

Dispatchers said police stopped two women in the suspect vehicle in the 100 block of Gebhart Church Road in Miamisburg.

The name of the woman arrested, as well as the charges she faces, remain unknown, according to dispatchers.

A man sustained a leg injury after a driver hit him with a car, according to Miamisburg police.

Police told our crew they are still searching for the car and suspect involved in the crash first reported around 7:15 p.m.

A witness living in the area reports a group of people were fighting in the 500 block of Sixth Street when a female driver appeared to intentionally hit the man.

The woman was a passenger in the car at the scene before she got out and moved to the driver seat, according to the witness.

After hitting the man, the woman reportedly appeared to back the car over him.

Initial reports indicate police are searching the area for a car with a female driver and broken windshield.

Miamisburg police are searching for the driver responsible for hitting a pedestrian Monday night.

Dispatchers said a caller into their office reported her husband had been hit by a black Monte Carlo.

Crews were dispatched to the scene in the 500 block of Sixth Street around 7:10 p.m.

A medic is heading to Kettering Medical Center from the scene, according to dispatchers.

Initial reports indicate a car with a broken windshield fled the scene of the crash.
