Cate Blanchett movie to shoot in Cincinnati

CINCINNATI — Oscar winner Cate Blanchett will be in Cincinnati soon to start shooting a new movie.

Blanchett, who won her second Oscar Sunday night for "Blue Jasmine," will be among the big names involved in a movie called "Carol" that will film here for seven weeks, according to local media outlets.

Sarah Paulson, who was in the Oscar-winning "12 Years a Slave" and is known for TV's "American Horror Story: Coven," also will be involved, as will Kyle Chandler, who was the football coach in TV's "Friday Night Lights."

Exactly when filming will begin isn't clear, but Kristen Erwin Schlotman, executive director of the Greater Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky Film Commission, says it's expected to be "within the next two weeks."

The entire movie will be filmed in Cincinnati.
