Rich Taste Catering will distribute 200 servings of its rice bowls from 6 to 7:30 p.m. tonight, May 29, outside of Kindred Connections, 4699 Salem Ave. in Trotwood.
It is not necessary to prove need, Rich co-owner Clarece Richardson told this news organization.
“We just want them to come out,” the Trotwood High School graduate and Springboro resident said. “Any leftovers we are just going to take pans to one of the apartment complexes.”
Severe storms and tornadoes hit the Miami Valley Monday night, leaving many in the area without power, access to drinkable water or safe shelter.
Members of Women of Wisdom Dayton and the Dayton chapter of Black Nurses Rock will help Rich Taste Catering distribute the food.
Portions of Trotwood and Harrison Twp. were heavily impacted by the tornadoes and storms.

Richardson said she just wants people to have a hot meal.
The rice bowls include cilantro lime rice, grilled chicken, pinto or black beans, corn salsa, cheese, sour cream.
A vegetarian and vegan version is available with roasted veggies, Richardson said.
She owns the business with her husband, Gerald.
