X*ACT, the Xenia Area Community Theater, will present “Bull in a China Shop,” beginning with a Jan. 29 opening night gala fundraiser and running for two weekends.
The comedy, directed by Sara Duibley, centers around six spinsters who tire of watching the handsome homicide detective next door through their binoculars. They hatch a plot to get him to pay them an official visit, which leads to a lot of swooning, tea, giggling, and so forth.
The Jan. 29 opening night gala fundraiser costs $20 per person and includes wine tasting, featuring local Caesar Creek Vineyards wines, light hors d’oeuvres and the show.
Additional performances will be at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 30, Feb. 5 and Feb. 6 and a 3 p.m. performance on Jan. 31. Tickets for those performances are $17 general admission and $14 for students and seniors.
For reservations, call 937-372-0516 or visit the theater’s website at www.xeniaact.org.
X*ACT is located at 45 E. Second St. in Xenia. DIANA BLOWERS, CONTRIBUTING WRITER
