History of city’s movie theaters to be explored

The Troy Historical Society will present a free program on the history of Troy’s movie theaters at 7 p.m. Nov. 20 at the Mayflower Arts Center in the former Mayflower Theater at 9 W. Main St. in Troy.

The program will be presented by Mike Robinson, a local movie historian, and Mike Detroy of Cincinnati, who purchased the Mayflower’s pipe organ in the 1970s. The organ now is housed at the Radio Museum in Mason, Ohio.
