“It’s just one after another, after another,” said Al Mast. “They say bad things happen in threes. Hopefully this is it.”
Mast is referring to the April flooding in Celina, the tornado on Memorial Day and now the recent flooding.
Mast said he is tired between cleaning up his family business and repairing his home.
“At some point you’ve had enough and the only way to get through it is just keep chugging along,” Mast said.
Water surrounded much of the Westlake Apartment complex, where Jennifer Kerstetter and her family live.
“We’re evacuated,” Kerstetter told News Center 7’s Gabrielle Enright. “We helped the neighbors get out cause they were sleeping.”
Also living at the complex were about a dozen tornado victims, who already had lost their homes. Now Mother Nature has forced them out again.
“I’ve never seen this much water in spring or summer,” said Greg Correll.
With more rain in the forecast, there’s no telling when the water will recede and that makes the recovery effort for all the victims even more difficult.
