UPDATE: Mercer County 911 lines are back in full service

UPDATE @ 8:40 p.m.: Mercer County 911 phone lines are back in full service, the sheriff's 911 administrator said in a statement.

But, on Friday beginning at 8 a.m., all 911 calls will be rerouted to the sheriff's office administrative phone lines because Frontier Communication will be performing planned maintenance on the county's 911 lines.

INITIAL REPORT

Mercer County Sheriff’s Office Central Dispatch 911 lines are down, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.

Mercer County residents are still able to call 911 and calls will be answered on administrative phone lines.

However, dispatch is unable to get caller ID or location information, according to the release.

Repairs are underway and the sheriff’s office will inform the public when the lines are back in full service.
