Piqua man pleads not guilty, police say he set his own car on fire

A man accused of setting his own car on fire pled not guilty in Miami County Municipal Court Monday.

Tommy Skaggs, 20, was arrested on suspicion of arson, illegal manufacturing of drugs and possession of drugs Sunday evening, according to Miami Valley Jail records.

The alleged vehicle was parked at Garbry Big Woods Reserve, located at 6660 N. Casstown-Sidney Rd, police say.

Skaggs is awaiting preliminary hearings and arrangement for his charges. He is currently held on a $2,500 cash bond, according to jail records.
