Part of a road near the center of West Carrollton will be closed starting Sunday because of work on a railroad crossing, according to the city.
Norfolk Southern Railroad has told the city repairs will close the Elm Street crossing for about a week.

Detour signs will be posted, according to the city. Traffic will be diverted through Central Avenue to Alex Road and Gibbons Road.
The repairs will include the removal of existing tracks and rubber pads, and the installation of newer tracks and pads, as well as repaving, according to Rich Norton, West Carrollton’s service director.
