Russ Nature Reserve to open to the public in June

Greene County Parks & Trails is installing signs at Russ Nature Reserve to prepare for the public opening scheduled for June.

The 90-acre property, located at Beaver Valley and Kemp Roads, was donated to the county agency by the late Fritz and Dolores Russ, the founders of Systems Research Laboratories in Beavercreek.

Visitors will be able to access trails, bee apiary, native plant prairies and Greene County’s only nature playscape.

Greene Giving is hosting a fundraising campaign to raise money for a proposed nature education center at the site.
