3 sisters charged in ‘large fight’ at Upper Valley Mall GNC store

Three sisters are facing assault charges following a fight at the GNC store inside the Upper Valley Mall near Springfield.

Beverly Burton, Tara Burton and Amanda Burton face charges of assault, criminal damaging and disorderly conduct for the incident, which happened Monday afternoon.

The victim told police she was shopping in the mall when Beverly Burton “approached her and started hitting her with her fists and both side of her arms while yelling at her,” court records read.

The victim then ran to the GNC store, where she asked the manager for help.

As the victim was waiting for a ride from an Uber driver, she tried to exit the store and walk toward the mall’s front entrance when the Burtons allegedly chased the victim back into the GNC store.

“(They) chased her back into the GNC store and started to assault her by hitting her...kicking her and throwing bottles and cans of GNC merchandise at her head and body,” court records read.

The manager of the GNC tried to separate the fight, however also was assaulted by the women, according to court records.

A customer, was was at the mall with her three children, also saw the fight and tried to intervene, but was reportedly thrown to the ground and assaulted by the women, court records read.
