“This inspiring look into Jim Henson’s imagination will not only spark nostalgia in those who grew up with his work, but it will catalyze the next generation of creative talent through science and the arts,” Dr. Frederic Bertley, COSI president and CEO, said in a release.
“This exhibition showcases the fantastic creative side of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) through the lens of an iconic innovator.”
The Henson exhibition, on view through Sept. 2, will explore his work as a young man using reproductions of early drawings and sketches and following his career through television series and films.
Visitors can view a Kermit the Frog puppet from 1978, familiar Sesame Street puppets including Grover and Count von Count, costumes from the 1986 film Labyrinth as well as character sketches, storyboards and more from Henson’s career.
