Northmont avenged a 27-21 loss at home to Springboro in 2019 by winning 40-36 at Springboro on Friday in Week 1 of the high school football season.

Cade Rice threw a 32-yard touchdown pass to Markus Allen on 4th-and-19 with nine seconds left.
